Godparents

One of the many sad things about leaving St. Paul was saying goodbye to Dan and Andrea, Emmie Jane's Godparents. They have worked double duty as godparents. In addition to their spiritual role, Dan and Andrea have been an awesome baby crisis diversion team at church. Emmie loved having Andrea hold her in church and both Dan and Andrea have caught errant Jacobs kids darting towards the alter. What will we do without them?

(Andrea reports that church is a little "boring" without us. Is that due to the lack of the Thomas train obstacle course in the back of the sanctuary? No more cars appearing between peoples legs when they are trying to pray? The choir doesn't have to compete over Gregory's "Hi-yahs!"? We can only wonder.)

We took the kids to the zoo with them for our last activity together while we lived in St. Paul.






We had a great time. We will miss them dearly, but we're confident we'll be able to get them down here to St. Louis soon!
