Vist from the Allisons

My sister Maryellen, brother-in-law Stuart, and every-growing nephew Matthew visited us two weekends ago. We loved having them stay with us in our new city. Maryellen and Mathew hope to come up in a few weeks to help with the new baby, and we look forward to seeing them again!

The visit coincided with the huge national heat wave, so the Allison family didn't get much relief from the southern heat by travelling up north. We spent most of the time inside or at a pool.

Matthew provided us with the perfect excuse for checking out the rides in the Mall of America amusement park.

Unfortunately, he also learned first hand that he didn't really like rides that involve big drops, like this one:

We spent some time at the Children's Museum. Gregory had a blast; here are some pics of him exploring the exhibits.

I've only met Matthew a few times, but he looks so old now! The Children Museum looks fun, is it kind of like the Wonderlab? So you got to check out Camp Snoopy--did you see the baseball stadium seat high up on the wall that is left over from the stadium that used to be at that location?
