Minnesota State Fair

We visited the much-touted "Minnesota Get-Together" this weekend. It was a perfect day for us -- and I'm guessing about 15,000 other Minnesotans -- to spend the day at the fairground. We spent most of the time looking at the cows, pigs, and sheep.

Here we (well, Jon is the only one pictured) head into the throngs of visitors. Next year, we'll go on a weekday morning so that we won't be get together with quite so many people.

Gregory is pretty socially robust, but he was just a little weary of these clowns. He waved at them and gave one a high-five, but didn't want to sit on the bench alone for the picture.

Too bad we didn't make it to the kid-oriented animal area. Instead, we looked at rows and rows of sheep, cows, and pigs in the stables. Gregory was particularly fascinated with a noisy pig that wiggled his nose when he grunted.
