Life as Gregory's Stay-at-Home Mom

I wasn't sure what it would be like to quit a full time job to stay home with Gregory. So far, I am enjoying the overall experience. This past week, he has been sick and now has a double ear infection (despite his ear tubes). None of us are enjoying that. However, before he got sick, we have explored lots of free parks and gardens, and Gregory has worn himself out a few times at the St. Paul Children's Museum. (That's probably how he got sick.) Several of the Jon's colleagues and their wives have invited me to get together with their respective kids and playgroups. I'm very grateful for them reaching out to me!!

Despite enjoying my time with Gregory, I'm still trying to figure out how moms manage to make dinner and clean the house with a one-year old running around. Any tips from you experienced moms out there?

This picture is from Gregory's bath after playing with the bath crayons that Aunt Maryellen, Uncle Stuart, and cousin Matthew gave him. He loves to find new things to scribble on in and around the bath tub, including himself and me.

Hey Meaghan, great job with the posting and its great to see what is going on with you guys again. That's too bad about the ear infections, poor little guy! Wow, bath crayons...what a good idea. I'm afraid I don't have any advice about cooking while watching a kid, maybe you can put Gregory to work chopping the vegetables! Just kidding.

Poor Gregory with ear infections! Poor Meaghan having to deal with that. I am afraid, not being an experienced- or even otherwise- mom I have no advice! But then again I never clean the house NOW (except when people come over) and I don't have a one-year old!!!
