This is a picture of Gregory and his little brother but it's a story of Gregory and his little sister. Only we can't take a decent picture of just the two of them because they are too busy play fighting or playing or fighting whenever we try.
Yesterday, Gregory wanted to watch Dora the Explorer. I told him nobody could watch the video until Emelia ate three bites of her cereal. My sweet boy is becoming just like me. He's learning to take initiative to get what he wants, and that being super positive can reward you greatly when it comes to dealing with kids. "C'mon, Emmie. I'll help you," he says as he trots to the dining room. From my spot on the couch, I hear him mimic my cheery this-is-yummy voice as he scoops spoonfuls of cereal towards Emmie's mouth, "Onnnne... twooooo...". The last spoonful is a bit tricky because Emelia has decided not to comply. Gregory chases Emelia around the downstairs, balancing a mushy pile of cereal on a spoon as he runs. "Threeee....." At some point the spoon carried by his outstretched arm meets the right mouth. I overlook the trail of dribbled milk and spilt cereal as Gregory triumphantly tells his little sister, "Good job! All done!"
Then he turns to me. "I watch Dora now?"
