Off Season

I'm learning the joys of visiting zoos and musuems when school is in session. We visited the little Como Zoo last week, and Gregory was the first visitor through the doors. We had many of the exhibits to ourselves, a nice change from battling summer crowds.

Another plus for Gregory and me (not the animals) is that the enclosures are small enough for us to get great access to the creatures.

The Children's Musuem is also less crowded now. I can let Gregory spend as much time in exhibits as he wants, which means we usually spend at least 10 minutes dancing in the dance room.

Wow, what a cute little budding biologist and someday break dancer. Yay for free zoos...have you gotten him little hockey skates yet? When we were in Canada we stopped by a sports store and there were all kind of little kids getting fitted for helmets and skates.
