Holding Emelia

It was a quick surgery, and everything went well. Meaghan and Emelia are doing well, and I'm at home with Gregory posting a few pictures for everyone to see. Tomorrow, a colleague will watch Gregory and I'll teach my classes. Then it's back to the hospital.

Emelia is beautiful--she looks much like her brother! In fact, Meaghan describes Emelia as a "smaller, fussier Gregory".

One of the great things about a newborn is they are very snuggly, and it's great to hold Emelia.



While Gregory didn't get to hold her quite yet, he did get to pat her head and touch her nose.


He seems really excited about having a sister. He keeps pointing at her and smiling. (We'll see if that continues after he sees Mommy holding her and not him.)
