It was such a sweet gesture, and it really did make us feel welcome in the neighborhood. We're sure we're going to eat lots of their cupcakes, too, because they're opening a cafe in our neighborhood. (Click here to visit their website.) Our kids didn't want to wait until then, though, so they immediately gobbled up the cupcakes:
When I went to eat mine later, I discovered Gregory helping himself to some of it!
But when I told him to stop, Meaghan says he got such a sad look on his face that he couldn't eat the icing on his finger, that Meaghan quickly told him, "It's ok, you can eat the icing on your finger."
She didn't ask me if it was ok.
At any rate, we're thankful to have such wonderful neighbors, and we look forward to spending all the money that we don't have at their cafe.
