Gregory stories

I recently bought hot and spicy cheese-its for myself, but I told Gregory that he wouldn't like them because they were spicy. He never tried them, and he's taken to calling them the "eewww" cheese-its. His, the plain ones, are the "yum" cheese-its. Just the other day, he finally decided to try one. He asked for one, so I gave one to him.

He very slowly brought it up to his tongue and gave it a small lick. He waited about two seconds, then he gave his "eewww" face. Two more seconds, and he hopped up and down saying "eeww, eeww, eeww." Then he ran around the house screaming "eeww" at the top of his lungs.

They're not that bad.

Driving around in a new city means we occasionally get lost. Now anytime we do a U-turn, Gregory makes his sad face and says, "Uh, ooohhhh." He then repeats that sadly until we reassure him that we're not lost. But there's this crazy things about St. Louis streets: You can't turn left from them! Ok, that's not always true, but it's true for a lot of intersections. They've decided, I guess in the interest of traffic flow, to disallow left turns at most intersections.

It drives me crazy. How are you supposed to get where you want to go? What's more: How am I supposed to convince my son that I'm not lost when I'm constantly turning around because I couldn't make the %*@! left turn that I wanted to make? I'm hearing lots of "Uh, ooohhhh, dad"s these days.

Hey Jon... you could explain to Gregory that you're playing a new game tryin to get home (or wherever) making only right turns.

I ran into the same problem in San Francisco until I learned enough streets. I quickly figured out that 3 rights make a left. It is more complicated with one-way streets. I hope you don't have too many of those.
