Baby Proofing and Birthday Cake

Emelia is pretty much walking everywhere this week. More freedom for her, less for me! I thought we did a pretty good job Gregory- and Emmie-proofing our house, but I had a shock when I found Emmie like this.



I don't know why I decided to try to take the picture. Putting her back on the stool and trying to make sure she didn't fall while taking the picture was pretty stressful. Later on in the evening I found her climbing up her high chair so that she could eat the "snacks" that she left on the seat. Sigh.

Gregory was pretty excited to celebrate my birthday. He finds birthday cake as delightful as I do. Of course he got to blow out the candles, both on my birthday and throughout the week when we ate the leftover cake.
