Spring, uh, cleaning?

I know I haven't posted in a while. It's mostly because I'm busy getting my house ready to go on the market. It takes much longer than I anticipated! Today I'm finally fixing the ceiling in the bathroom. About a year ago or so, the fan broke, and I replaced it myself, but left a big whole in the ceiling doing it. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to just drywall the whole ceiling so it would look better. Big job! But check out the results:


If any of you have been in our bathroom the last year or so, you know how much of an improvement this is. I've got one more coat of mud to go, but it's close to being finished. And if you've ever done drywall, you know how messy this whole process is. I kept the door closed, trying to keep the dust from getting into the house. I was fairly successful, but it did seep out a bit under the door:


I was excited about being so close, so I thought I'd grab the camera and share some of my progress with you. Ooops! Now there are footprints from the bathroom to the living room and from the living room to my computer:



Sorry Meaghan. I'll clean it up. Really I will. Sometime soon...

In the meantime, I've got to get this finished so I can take a shower:


Oh well. At least now I know what I'll look like with more than a couple of gray hairs.
