Let the record show

I hope this post doesn't start some sort of war between me and Meaghan, but I just can't resist anyway. Let the record show that I was not watching Gregory when he rolled off the bed. Nor was I at home when Meaghan went into the kitchen, only to hear a strangely distant thud and cry from Gregory, and, after coming back into the living room, discovered that Gregory had crawled out the front door and fell onto the porch.

Wasn't she supposed to be the experienced one?

To be fair, I have learned my share of lessons. (Including this one.) In fact, probably the only difference between Meaghan and me when it comes to these sorts of things is that Meaghan's first reaction is to run and grab Gregory; my first reaction is to run and grab the camera. (Ok, that's not exactly true, but you get my point.) So, once I found out from Meaghan that Gregory had made his first solo flight out the door, I made sure to get the evidence on camera! Here's a picture of the scratch on his nose he got from the fall.

He ran away from home when he was seven months old? Hilarious.

Yeah, and immediately he was so traumatized that he cried and looked for mommy. I get the feeling that in a couple of years (months?), he'll go out the front door and he won't look back.
