Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a week after our move. Or should I say, a week after the move-in date. Did I tell you that the move was a tough? Turns out that moving with 3 kids plus morning sickness (me) plus a very busy work schedule (Jon) doesn't work too well. On Mother's Day, we had a wonderful prime rib dinner at our church. The rest of the day required more exertion than our depleted selves could really muster. At some point in all the chaos, Emelia ran up to me yelling "happy mother's day!" and handed me a clover flower. It was a small gesture. It didn't bring the end to the chaos and later she would throw a huge tantrum. But it was wonderful.
