Yes, another Gregory adventure. We gave him cashews for the first time today and ten minutes later, his eyes were just about swollen shut and his face was all red. So I dosed him with Benadryl and rushed to the ER. I called Jon in the midst with such drama that I inspired him to run the 1.5 miles from work to the ER (since we only have one car). The good news is that Gregory is fine. He looked like we inserted boiled eggs under his eyes for most of the afternoon but the allergic reaction never effected his respiratory track. In fact, the doctor said could have been a reaction to ragweed and not the cashews.
So there you have it.

Glad to hear he is ok, and I hope he is getting lots of cookies. What were the other five times for?
He's fine now. And we recovered too. So his other 5 times: penicillin allergy reaction/hives (not and emergency, just dramatic in appearance), ear tubes operation (okay, not a big deal either), ear tubes and adenoids operation (slightly more of a deal but still mild), ambulance ride to the ER for croup (big deal), quick trip to ER because of high fever (not a big deal there either, more of me being overly cautious after the whole croup thing).
wow, gregory sounds like my soulmate with all the allergies! i used to get the swollen shut eyes too. poor guy!! im glad he's ok now though! :)
I'm glad he's ok.
