White Easter

Growing up in Virginia, a white Christmas was a desperate fantasy. A white Easter? Now that's just crazy talk. So we are a bit bemused by the 7 inches of heavy snow that we got last weekend. Up until then, we never saw an Easter bunny snowman. When that blessed time comes when the eastern and western Churches decide on one calendar, do you think they will take the weather into consideration?

The Minnesota Zoo celebrated Western Easter with the opening of the baby farm animals exhibit. We bundled up and took the kids.

Emmie says, "what's wrong with this picture and when is spring arriving?"

Looks like it was a fun trip to the zoo! Is all the snow lately sweetening the upcoming move to the south?

Yes! We just had snow again last week. Of course, Meaghan never tires of telling me that I'll be complaining about the summers just as bitterly as I now complain about the winters.
